Last year, Nokia introduced its HMD series of smartphones, feature phones and Tablets in India. This is the first brand which claims self repair as a USP of it's devices available in India (Fairphone doesn't sell in India). HMD claims the following:

Ease of disassembly

The phone have minimal use of strong adhesive and few parts need to be removed to access the commonly replaced parts like the screen, charging port and battery. Check detailed repairability score of HMD Crest Max 5G and HMD Skyline.

OEM spare parts available

Batteries, charging ports, screens and repair kits are sold on the HMD website. Check out the spare parts.

This is a bold move from Nokia to promote sustainability and extend the life of their devices. Hope the Indian consumers notice this and encourage more manufacturers to do the same.
