The Honor X9d 5G offers mixed repairability. On the positive side the battery connector and battery are relatively easy to access and the battery includes pull tabs that simplify removal despite adhesive being used to secure it. However repairs are hindered by adhesive on the back cover and battery increasing disassembly difficulty and risk during opening. Screen replacement is more complicated because several components must be removed first and plastic covers over the boards add extra steps before accessing internal cables. Overall the device is serviceable for some common repairs but includes design choices that make repairs more time-consuming and less convenient.
