The Huawei Pura X Max has mixed repairability with a few helpful design choices offset by several barriers to repair. The battery and its cable are relatively accessible and the inclusion of pull tabs makes battery removal easier despite the use of adhesive. However many repairs are complicated by the need to remove the screen first which is a delicate and risk-prone process. Additional obstacles include adhesive on the back cover and battery multiple plastic covers and metal plates blocking cable access and the large number of screws and small components that must be removed during disassembly. Accessing the secondary battery is even more difficult because the secondary screen must also be removed. Overall the device leans toward difficult repairability due to its layered construction and extensive disassembly requirements.
