The Sony Xperia 5 V offers a mixed but generally serviceable repair experience. The back cover is secured with adhesive which makes initial entry more difficult but once inside the battery connector and battery itself are easy to access. Battery replacement is helped by the inclusion of pull tabs reducing the risk and effort involved in removal. The screen assembly is also relatively repair-friendly since the display cable and screen can be accessed without taking out many internal components. However several plastic covers over the main boards must be removed to reach certain connectors and cables adding extra disassembly steps and complexity.
