Summary
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 has mixed repairability with a few helpful design choices offset by several difficult repair steps. The battery connector and batteries are relatively easy to access and pull tabs assist with battery removal but adhesive is still heavily used on both the back cover and batteries. Screen repairs are particularly challenging as multiple components and plastic board covers must be removed to access internal cables and the folding display itself is especially difficult to replace. Replacing both batteries also requires removal of the outer screen adding further complexity and risk to repairs.
